I woke up this morning with the weirdest sense of nostalgia about high school. I certainly miss aspects of it but this morning I woke up wanting to go back. I texted Brianna and she replied immediately saying she felt the same after seeing a girl with a ribbon in her hair (#privateschoolgal). I don’t know whether it’s because the year 10 (our year 7’s!) formal was on Friday night or that my good friends (a few years below me) texted me that they’re graduating in September, but I found myself going through photos reminiscing about school.
One of the best days of Year 12 – Ward won the Spirit Cup at the Athletics Carnival.
Commitment Weekend 2010.
We made a Twilight mockumentary in year 12 where I played a drunk man.
We had an excursion at the Sydney Dance Company in year 10, so of course, we went to Sunrise and the Lindt Cafe beforehand.
These girls graduate in September… Crazy!
Music Festival 2011.
Loreto Day 2011.
The last week that Anna and I were day girls!
There were certainly many more great memories (boarding, our French class, Ward, being a day girl, formals, chipping my front tooth) of high school, and even though we all thought the world would end if we didn’t get a decent ATAR, we have all survived and are doing things we love. Since I finish my degree in October, this time next year, I will probably be feeling nostalgic about uni… I can’t win!
I now can’t wait to see some of my school friends who are visiting me this weekend!
