Lipstick. In my opinion, it’s the trickiest makeup to conquer. No matter how hard I try, I can never seem to master the lips, which results in me resorting to my good ol’ Carmex. Even though Carmex is the best lip balm in the whole universe (don’t get me started), I feel it’s time to try the lippy. My good friend, Zoe, is a lipstick pro. Everyday she comes to work with lipstick applied, and it seriously is a mood lifter. Whilst, I don’t think I’ll be able to pull off the red and hot pink lips so soon, I had a reward at Witchery, and instead of buying another pair of shoes, I decided to buy two lipsticks – pale peony and nude (on sale too) instead.
Hopefully I’ll be able to pull these colours off, and then I’ll be able to transition to the brighter ones. Loving these shades at the moment though, because of their subtlety, and they’re not too heavy when applied, either.
Any suggestions on transitioning from Carmex (seriously, it’s so good) to lipstick? I have a few dinners and events coming up in the next month, so I’ll hopefully be able to try the colours out then!
Stay tuned…

You could try those lip balm stains (the packaging often looks like a big crayon, like the Clinique Chubby Sticks). Several brands offer such and I think it’d be a nice transition/alternative 🙂
That’s a great idea, I will look into them. Thank you!
Love this post! You have inspired me to pucker up and get liplicious!
Thanks Ivy Melba! Glad I can be an inspiration to someone! These lipsticks are a #gamechanger
